Here, sunset draws warm light across the tops of the surrounding cliffs while shadow gathers in Blyde River Canyon. The changing tones separate one ridge from another and carry the view towards the horizon. Standing above the canyon, I was struck by the scale of the scene and the way a brief change in light could make its familiar shapes feel newly revealed.
