I placed the camera in the small gap between the wall of a water feature and its falling droplets. Water close to the lens became a soft curtain of reflected light, while the woman and the surrounding street remained in focus beyond it. Balancing those layers was technically demanding. The resulting photograph holds both the clarity of the passing figure and the luminous uncertainty of the foreground.
