These photographs hold moments when a place and its light came together, never to appear in quite the same way again. Let your eyes wander through the scene. Imagine the air on your skin, the distance to the farthest ridge, or the stillness before the sun appears. A photograph cannot transport us completely, but it can give us room to pause and feel the pull of somewhere else. As you enter this world, consider a place that has stayed with you. That sense of attachment gives care a beginning: somewhere particular, remembered and valued, within the Earth we all call home.
